Abbeylands' Rents in Braddan 1740

Note the rental book had six columns - one for Rent (in pence) and the others for Hens and turf - presumably a hangover from the days when tenants paid in kind. Boon days are days when free service must be given (e.g. maintenance of bridges etc)

(note entries are not numbered, these are added for convenience).

As elsewhere additions/notes to the entries are indicated (..) - entries which changed from one roll to next are underlined in original; (1741) indicates a note that en entry passed through the court in that year - usually May(m) or October(o).
