Know all men by these presents that I John Waterson Senr of the Corvalla in the parish of KK Christ Rushen with the full and free Consent of Margery Waterson my Wife as also of John Waterson Junr my Son Divers good Causes & Reasons us thereunto moving but more Especially for and in Consideration of the full & just Sum of Seventeen pounds Currency of this Isle at & from the hands of John Kinley of the said parish Cooper to be applied in manner following that is to say, Twelve pounds ten shillings thereof to discharge a Mortgage which William Gawn of the sd parish hath on part of our land, as also four pounds to discharge another Mortgage which Margery Corrin hath on another part of our land, and the other ten shillings to be paid unto us at the Confirmation of this Deed, Have Given, Granted alienated passed over & Sold, and do by these presents Give Grant alienate pass over & for Ever absolutely Sell unto him the said John Kinley all the Right title & Interest that we now have or at any time hereafter may might or could have in & unto a certain field called the Barroo being part of the Corvalla aforesd adjoining to John Corrin’s land on the East and South, to Willm Waterson’s on the North and to Bryan Waterson’s on the West, as also all our Right & title to another parcell of our land Called Criott Wark with the House thereunto belonging, adjoining to John Corrin’s land on the North & West, and to the Highway on the East, and to our own land on the South as also all our Right & title to another parcell of our land called the Nee Liowar adjoining to John Corrin’s on the North & West & South and to the Highway on the East, being all of Such annual Lord’s Rent as the Setting Quest Shall proportion thereon, To Have & To Hold unto him the Said John Kinley his Heirs Execrs admrs & assigns from us the said John Waterson Senr, Margery my Wife & John Waterson our Son, our Heirs Execrs admrs & assigns the Severale aforesaid parcells of land and House taking Commencement from the twenty ninth day of September next, together with all Ways Waters Watercourses Easements Liberties profits & advantages to the Same belonging. He the Said John Kinley his Heirs Execrs or Assigns yielding and paying yearly & every year the Severale Rents that Shall be [End of Page 1] Settles on the premises, as also all Boons Suits & Services Settles thereon and We the Said John Waterson Senr and Margery Waterson my Wife as also John Waterson Junr our Son do bind and oblige ourselves to maintain & defend the premises to the said John Kinley his heirs Execrs and assigns against the pretended Right or Claim of any person Whatsoever and to procure the Worshipful Deemster’s attestation with the Honerble Court’s Confirmation to this Deed and to do and Execute any other act or Deed for the further & better Securing of the premisses to the sd John Kinley & his assigns for Ever – for the true and faithfull performance of all which We the said John Waterson Senr, Margery Waterson my Wife and John Waterson Junr our Son do bind & oblige ourselves our Heirs Execrs adminrs & assigns in the penalty & forfeiture of fourty pounds Sterling to be levied according to the Laws and Customs of this Isle – As Witness our marks to our names this 18th Day of April 1744 Signed & Delivered John Waterson Senr my mrk X in presence of Margery Waterson my mrk X Robert Moore his mrk X John Waterson junr my mrk X John Gill 18th April 1744 John Watterson Margery Watterson and John Watterson Junr Acknowledged the within and above Bill of Sale to be their Voluntary Act and Deed Before me Jon Taubman At a Sheading Court holden at Castle: :Rushen the 17th May 1744 The within and above Bill of Sale being [End of Page 2] acknowledged before the Deemster and now openly published in Court and no – material objection offered agt it – Is – Therefore allowed off and Confirmed according to Law Dan Mylrea Jon Taubman Cha : Stanley Jon Quayle Wm Christian
