South Side Sale, October 1798 #36 Malew

Robt Kinley (coronor of Rushen) to John Quayle

Whereas Edward Gelling of Castletown and Francis
Delapryme of Douglas have lately obtained –
Executions against William Clague of the Parish
of Malew amouting in the whole to the sum of
Twenty two Pounds Ten Shillings and Two pence – 
British and whereas the sd Executions were put
into the Hands of Robert Kinley coroner of Rushen
Sheading to be Enforced, Whereupon the sd William
Clague Delivered in Pawn to the sd coroner all his
concerns of Houses Gardens and Lands Situate in 
Belown Quarter in the sd Parish of Malew the same
adjoining to the Land of Robert Gelling on the
north and to the road leading to Peeltown on the
East and to the road leading to Grenaby on the
South and to the Land of John Taubman Esquire
on the West, and of the annual Lord’s rent of Two
pence – to be sold or assigned for the purpose
of satisfying the sd Executions and where as the sd
coroner did accordingly advertized and published
the same at the sd Parish Church and set up for
Sale the sd Premises by public auction upon the
26th Day of March 1798 and John Quayle of
the Parish of Arbory became the highest – 
bidder for the same and was Duly Declared the
purchaser thereof at or for the sum of –

Forty Pounds and Ten Shillings manks currency
of this Isle – now therefore Know all men
by these presents that I the sd Robert Kinley
coroner of Rushen Sheading by virtue of my office
and in pursuance of ^the^ Executions aforesd for and
in consideration of the sum of Forty Pounds and
Ten Shillings to be paid by the sd John Quayle
before the Attestation of these presents have given
granted Bargained and sold Transferred and – 
assigned and by these presents Do give grant – 
Bargain sell Transfer and assigns unto him the sd
John Quayle his Heirs Extrs admtrs and Assigns
the sd Premises, to have and to hold the same with
all Easements and Liberties unto the same belong=
=ing unto him the sd John Quayle his Heirs Extrs
admtrs and assigns in as full and ample a
manner as he the sd William Clague might or – 
could hold or Enjoy the same – And for the true
and faithfull performance hereof I the sd Robert
Kinley Do bind myself my Heirs, Exrs admrs and
assigns under the Penalty of one Hundred Pounds
to be paid according to Law as witness my sub=
=scription this 8th Day of May – 1798 –

Robt Kinley the executing party to the before
written Deed of Sale acknowledged the same
to be his proper act and Deed and to be
paid the Consideration money therein mentioned

    1798 – 

The beforewritten Deed of Sale being acknowledged
before the High Bailiff & now openly published
in Court & no Objection offered agt it The same
is therefore ordered to be Recorded for the benefit
of all persons Concerned –
