Whereas Robert Kinley Coronor of Rushen Sheading did upon the 7th say of July 1795 Receive from the Hands of John Kennagh an Execution granted by the Worshipfull Deemster Lace against William Callister for the Sum of Six Pounds Twelve – Shillings British with Costs and fees And Whereas I the sd Robt Kinley proceeded to Distrain upon the goods and Efficts of the sd Wm Callister and finding no goods to Discharge the sd Execution Save and Except a Certain House and Concern in Church Street in Castletown Which by virtue of my office I Sett up to the Highest Bidder and Samuel Quayle of the sd town having Bid for the Same the Sum of Twelve Pounds Fifteen Shigs British and the same was Struck of to him the sd Samuel Quayle as the [End of Page 1] Highest bidder for the sd premes Now Know all Men by these presents that I the sd Robt Kinley by virtue of my Office and for and in Consideration of the sd Sum of Twelve Pounds Fifteen Shilling Lawfull Money of Great Britain to me in hand paid at by and from the Hands of Samuel Quayle aforesd Have Given Granted bargained and Sold and by virtue hereof Do Give Grant Bargain and for ever – Absolutly Sell unto him the sd Saml Quayle all and Singular that Dwelling House and yard which was formerly the property of the sd Wm Callister Situate in Church Street in Castletown and Adjoining the rent of Wm Bridson on the North the rent of Patt: Nelson on the West and South and to the sd Street Called Malew Street on the East [End of Page 2] To Have and to Hold unto him the sd Samuel Quayle all and Singular the Said premes together with all ways Watters and Watercourses he the sd Samuel Quayle paying the Lords Rent with all other Boons Suits and Services due and payable thereon at the times and Seasons appointed by Law – And I the sd Robt Kinley by virtue of my office aforesd do Hereby uphold awarrant maintain and Defend the sd Sold premes unto him the sd Samuel Quayle his Heirs Exers or Assigns against the Claime and Challenge of all and every person Claiming or to Claim any right into the sd premes And for the True and faithfull perfor= =mance hereof I the sd Robt Kinley Do hereby bind and Oblige myself my Heirs or Sucessors in and under the penalty of Twenty five pounds [End of Page 3] Sterling to be Levid and paid According to Law As Witness my Subscription this 2d day of Septr 1795 Robt Kinley Signed and Delivered in presence of us Thos Cubbon Wm Corrin At Castletown ??? Octr 1796 Robt Kinley the executing party to the before written Deed of Sale acknowledged the same to be his proper Act and Deed and to be paid the Consideration money therein mentioned Before me Norris Moore At a Court Baron holden at Castletown for Rushen Sheading the 13th Octr 1796 The before written Deed of Sale being acknowledged before the High Bailiff and now openly published in Court and no objection offered agt it The same is therefore allowed of and ordered to be Recorded for the benefir of all persons Concerned John Lace
