Know all Men by These Presents that I Robt Kinley of Malew Divers Good Causes me herewith moving but more especially for and in Consideration of the Sum of Eleven pounds Lawfull Money of Great Britain to me in hand Paid or Secured to be paid by Samuel Ratcliff of Castletown have Given, Granted Bargained and Sold and by virtue hereof Do Give, Grant Bargain and forever absolutely Sell unto him the said Samuel Ratcliff all and singular that plott or parcil of Land Situate in Church Street in Castletown bounded by the rent of William – Farrant on the North the rent of Hugh Creech on the West the rent of David Callister on the South and to Church street aforesd on the East and to pay Such Lords rent as the Setting Quest Shall Settle thereon To Have and to hold unto him the sd Saml Ratcliff His Heirs, Exers and Assigns togather with all ways Waters and Water Courses Easements and Liberties to the sd Sold Premes He paying the Lords rent with all boons Suits and Services when the same Shall become due and I the sd Robert Kinley do hereby bind and oblige myself my – [End of Page 1] Heirs, Exers admers and assigns to uphold awarrant maintain and Defend the aforesd Solf premes and every part thereof against the Claim, Challenge and Demand of all and every Person Whatsoever and for the True and faithfull performance hereof I the sd Robert Kinley do hereby bind and oblige my self my Heirs Exers, admers and assigns in and under the penalty of Twenty five pounds Lawfull – Money of Great Britain As Witness my – subscription this 18th day of July 1796 Signed and Delivered ) in presence of us ) Robert Kinley Thos Cubbon John Bridson Castletown 3d April 1797 The abovenamed Robert Kinley acknowledged this Deed of Sale to be his proper act and Deed and to be paid the consideration money therein mentioned Before me John Lace [End of Page 2] At a Court Baron holden at Castletown for Rushen Sheading the 12th of April 1798 The before written Deed of Sale being Acknowledged before the Deemster and now openly published in Court and no objection offered against it The same is therefore ordered to be recorded for the benefit of all persons Concerned John Lace
