Whereas Richard Hinley & Anne his wife of Oristal in the parish of Malew did give a Marriage Settlement to their son & heir William Hinley & his intended wife Anne Looney bearing date the 31st day of January 1769,wherein it was agreed between the parties that in case the said William Hinley & his intended wife aforesd would sufficiently grant & convey all right & pretension of right of a certain dwelling house with the appurtances thereunto belonging situate in Castletown unto his said father Richard Hinley, the[] then and in that case the said Richd Hinley was to accept of the same in full satisfaction & payment of the sum of one hundred pounds being the remainder part of the sum of one hundred & sixty pounds payable by the said William Hinley to his father Richard Hinley as by the said settlement appears at large Know all men by these presents that I the said William Hinley with the full consent and approbation of Anne Hinley alias Looney my wife for and in consideration that my said father doth hereby acquit & discharge me my heirs, exors, admors & assigns for the payment of said sum of one hundred pounds as aforesd - have given granted bargained, passed over & sold and by these presents do give, great bargain, passover and forever absolutely sell from us our heirs exors, admors & assigns, unto our said father Richd Hinley his exors & assigns all the right & pretension of right that we now have or hereafter may have in and unto the beforementioned house with all the appurtenances unto the same belonging situate in Castletown aforesaid commonly called & known by the name of Captain Richard Thompsons dwelling house of the annual Lords rent of ninepence or thereabouts said house lying & being situate in West street in Castletown aforesaid To have and to hold the said premes unto from the said Richd Hinley his exors, admors & assigns forever together with all ways, waters, watercourses, libertys profits and advantages unto the same in any wise belonging appertaining yielding & paying the said Honble Lords rent with all dues duties, suits & services annually incumbent on said premes And for the true & faithfull performance thereof I the said William Hinley & Anne my wife do hereby bind and oblige ourselves, exors, admors & assigns in and under the penalty & forfeiture of two hundred pounds sterling to be levied and paid according to law. In witness whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names this 10th Janry 1777.
