Only the Quarterlands are transcribed here - the Cottages + Intacks will be foundon CD_Rom. The format here is slightly amended from the original in that several names were on a single line with their respective rents written (in Roman numerals) above the name - some entries appeared to have been replaced with later entries - shown here in {..} - for these the amount was written in arabic (ie modern) notation. For younger and non-British readers remember there were 12pence ('d') to one shilling ('s') and 20 shillings to £1. quantities less than 1s 6d were generally expressed in pence (eg 18d). As before all Roman numbers used for amounts have been transcribed as arabic numerals and are in £ s d. (ob = obolus or one half; qd- ¼d)
This book 1712-1714.
The numbers under each Treen are my addition for ease of reference - some of these can be identified by reference to the 1706 compostion book - indicated [..].
