c.1907 - newly built station on second site
This was established at Port Erin in 1892 by Professor Herdman and associated with Liverpool University - it was later taken over by them and continued in operation though on a different site than the original station - closed 2007 when the IoM Goverrment and Liverpool University could not agree on future funding; the building was left empty and in 2023 was demolished.
