I honestly wish that was my William Moore but, the 1901 and 1911 census clearly show that my William was born in 1875 in Manchester. There only appears to be one butcher called William Moore in the Isle of Man - in 1881, as you have pointed out residing in Lord St, but by 1891 he had moved to Bigwell St. Perhaps my William's father was a butcher in England or he had another profession in 1891.
