I wonder if some kind person has access to, either marriage bans, and/or to newspapers issued in 1895.
I have for many years been trying to find details of my grandfather William Joseph Moore(s) but to no avail. He is very illusive and even though I have his death and marriage certificate I cannot trace the whereabouts of his birth or his parents.
He married Margaret Jane Ellison on 29th September 1895 in Lonan Parish Church and they lived in Douglas until 1913 when they left for Lancashire. I was hoping that there may be a newspaper account of their wedding which would perhaps shed some light on his family.
