I am afraid that I believe major changes will be afoot
at the Registry soon. A new broom is in charge & despite no increase in staffing they are now required to
remain open over the lunch period. A booking system is
in place for Registrations ---a very good thing as it is
appalling if bereaved people have to wait in public for ages until they can be taken into the private office.

The laws/regulations are being investigated to see how
much right of access the callers have to registers. I
suspect it may be look at NEW easily readable index give the ref. & pay for a copy. Currently when quiet I have
read an entire small register eg Foxdale while supposedly
reading one cert. & usually buying a copy.
