Robert

You are right about the multiple connections of the older Manx families. My favorite was an instance I wrote up for an early number of the FHS Journal Vol 3 no 4 Oct 1981 now on Frances' site: the will of Bahee Lewin (Mrs Cannon of Eary ny Gowan, Kirk Michael) pulled together my four descents from that lady - two through the younger son John of Cooilshellagh, one through the daughter Jony (Mrs Corlett of Nappin, Lezayre) and one through the heir William and his younger son Thomas Cannon of Peel. THe Kirk Michael descents united in my grandfather FHC, the female descents in my g.g.g-father Robert Corlett, the four then being joined in my father.

THere is a written account and (somewhere) scanned images of the three Corlett pedigrees from the Article.

The mother of Eliza Corlett was Ann Casement, and she seems to have been the ultimate heiress to Ballaleece, Patrick, why, I do not know.
