I have just been on the IGI and it says the following;

Gilbert Radcliffe's father was John Radcliffe of Ballaradcliffe whose father was also John Radcliffe of Ballaradcliffe. His father in turn was a Henry Radcliffe of Ballaradcliffe who married a woman called machellie or kelly of ballahestyn. His father was Sir Thomas Radcliffe, Abbot of the Abbey and his mother was a Mary Stanley.

Can anyone confirm any of this? Where would the IGI have got this from?
