I'm starting a separate thread for this, although it follows from a reference Eric made to Henry Kellett (born England ), schoolmaster, of Douglas, who married Ann Gelling (dau of Thomas Gelling and Ann Moore ) in 1838 in Braddan:

"------the parents Thomas GELLING and Ann MOORE married 15 Mar 1808 Braddan, and I have 3 children: Edward Thomas 1808, Ann 1810 and Thomas 1812. I know nothing about Edward Thomas. Ann married Henry KELLETT in 1838 Braddan and had a large family. She lived to age 93 and he lived to 82. Henry Kellett was a Schoolmaster in Douglas, born England. "

For any descendants of Henry and Ann Kellett using the search facility in the future, I have several postcards written in 1905/6/7 by 2 granddaughters who were friends of my grandfather's sister, Catherine (Katie) Kneen b 1884 of Ballacorkish, Colby. One of Henry and Ann's sons, John Daniel Kellett, married Sarah Elizabeth Nicholson, and they had several children. They lived at 15 West View, Douglas
KELLETT, Emily Elizabe 3 May 1884 Dou 467 KELLETT, John Daniel NICHOLSON, Sara Elizabeth
KELLETT, Katharine 9 Apr 1887 Dou 636 KELLETT, John Daniel NICHOLSON, Sarah Elizabeth
I believe that Emily Kellett would have been in the same school year as Katie Kneen (Douglas Higher Grade School ?---did that become Douglas High School for Girls ? ) I believe that Emily went on to study at Southlands Training College, Battersea.
