Re Kermodes to US or Canada. In our line of the family we have a James Kermode who went to America and married in New York to Mary Soutar in 1891. Also another James Kermode (1788-1868) he migrated c 1852 and died in Galva Illinois, 1868. Also with him were 2 daughters, Margaret (Patty) and Ann (McClellan), both died in Galva Illinois.

Our tree has a Francis Cowley Kermode born 1861 died 1862 in Peel IOM.
