My great grandparents left IOM in 1890 and settled in Barrow in Furness. John Thomas Cain(e)c1855 and Emily Brew c1860. The 1911 census has added information which states that Emily was born in Arbory and her middle name could be Elizabeth, although John's birthplace is difficult to decipher it may be German? I do know that Emily's parents were Thomas and Ann(e) Brew and John's father was Philip Cain. There are so many Brews and Cain(e)'s that I am not sure which are my families! Any help to put me on the right track would be appreciated.
