they lived along the road from Cross four ways heading towards Peel - the large farm was Ballahott a little to the south (250ac + 6 labourers) - Ballakeown only had 30ac (& no labourers in census entry) - garrey is not quite a domestic garden but a patch of greenery (river shrubbery is one other translation) - the cottages might will be along the strectch of this road that is just west of the silverburn and silvedale glen (horse in a coastal context can mean a large cliff rock - not sure if relevent here - the manx for horse is cabbyl thus either the English name was incorporated (quite possible as the area was abbey demense) or is a later accretion.
