finlo came from a line of Finlo's - he was probably s/o Finlo & Mary Christian mar m Onchan 17380423 and bapt 17400423 (his will is in 1773 summarised on MNB) several of Finlo the elder's children have noted against them 'finlo junr' implying that Finlo senior was also a s/o of Finlo - the most likely grandfather is baptised Onc 17130621 s/o Finlo and possibly Cath Crow.

I suspect this family might well the the Corkills of Beograde (see www.manxnotebook.com/cd_only/cbook/on/1760cb.htm - if so you might be able to trace back to early 16th century
