I am trying to trace my Manx ancestry, having lived on the Island since the 60s. My father was Joseph Leeson Skillicorn [born 10/01/1900 in Liverpool, died 1976 in Ramsey]. His father ,also Joseph married [for the second time] Bertha ? and lived at Sunny Mount, The Level, Colby. She predeceased him and he died in Liverpool in1953.
I believe two Skillicorn cousins married each other at the Dhoon in 1800s? and were related to us.
I should love to hear from anyone with more information.
