I'm looking at Elizabeth Collister nee Kermode b1799, one of the daughters of Thomas Kermode mentioned in his 1842 will.
"Forthly He left and bequeathed unto his daughter Elizabeth Collister alias Kermoad all his right and title of a certain meddow (sic) commonly called and known by the Church meddows of Trinity Rushen together with one third of all his moneys and creadites of every description whether by deeds or otherwise."
Elizabeth's husband is referred to as "William Collister of The Howe in the parish of Rushen."
I've found a marriage between Wm Collister and Eliz Kermode on 7 Nov 1818 Kk Rushen, and I've found their family farming at Corvalley, Rushen ( which I believe is just to the west of Port St Mary, at The Howe ?) in the 41, 51 and 71 censuses.
I think that I've found burials for Eliz and William and wonder if there are MIs for them:
COLLISTER, Elizabeth 74 Rus 17 Mar 1874
COLLISTER, William 84 Rus 12 Apr 1879
Does anyone out there recognise this family and have any interesting information about them or their descendants ? Elizabeth was a sister of my gg grandmother, Eleanor Kneen nee Kermode 1805-1893 of Croit e Caley, Rushen.
