What do you know about Thomas Kermode?
I suppose the obvious connection may be to Elizabeth Kermod(e) who md William Quayle if they are indeed the parents of Paul's wife Eleanor.
I think Ballafesson was related to the Methodists--maybe I'm off, but if on, this is one of Frances' many balliwicks and she may be able to help us out.
I don't find Thomas Kermod(e)s burial in either Malew or Marown so maybe there is a Methodist yard?? or I'm as usual hopelessly lost
