I was in indirect contact with isleofman.com when the North American Manx Association was looking for a new home on the internet. We needed something that would be updated more frequently, and we discussed getting access to maintain the NAMA site at what was then its current location. We eventually chose to go with a different hosting company. However it was mostly due to my elementary web development skills rather than their lack of capability.

Isleofman.com uses a high-end content management system (see sitecore.com) that is quite capable of expansion. They are a business, and their business depends on attracting "eyeballs" for their advertisers with relevant, up-to-date content. If the improvements that you are proposing to add to the new site could be incorporated into this, then it might be a win-win.
