Many thanks for the reply, Nigel. Perhaps they started out in the crofts in the early 1700s, and gradually moved down to Gretch Vane.

When Lois manages to get land records and copies of the old maps hopefully she will be able to sort out these Skillicorn familes. I have a very detailed map for Lezayre and Maughold which shows the terrain and farm names, but it cuts off Lonan just south of Agneash.
