Connection between Lonan places?

I'm trying to see whether there is a link between early 1700s Skillicorn families who were described in the Lonan parish register as of "the Mountains" and ones in the late 1700s and 1800s, of Gretch Vane. Does anyone know where "the Mountains" were, and whether they could be the same place as Gretch Vane?

On the archived FHS message board Nigel Crowe wrote "I have been looking at some pedigrees prepared by J A Brew of the Kewleys of Lonan. On Kewley Pedigree # X he refers to the baptism of Thomas Corrin "in the Mountains" having a son baptised in 1723, and asserts that this individual is of Gretch".

Thanks for any information about these two places.
