Couldn't John Henry have taken a few years off his age over the years and be the son of Robert Cain & Margaret Crowe (who married 12 Nov.1853 Braddan), who you were considering in April?

I think their son John Henry Cain bapt 30 March 1855 Braddan still looks likely to be your one. Did you have any luck with those wills Averil suggested?
