the Soapery was I think in Church street - later possibly the Albion pub - search soapery on manxnotebook but Niel Mathieson says that he is confused re the names and locations - Church street ran from Lord St up to Circular rd so if it was on that corner it might be - however Nigel Crowe would be your best guide to old douglas.
