I cannot believe all the info you found! Some of it I knew, but there was a lot of new info, especially for his son, Fred. Fred and Margaret were divorced after a long separation. His second wife, Harriet, killed herself in Cleveland. He was a politician and traveled a lot. He would live in a hotel for months at a time. When he retired, he moved to Hollywood, where he died. He was returned to Ohio to be buried.
His son, Roland, was my husband's grandfather. It was his wish to go to the Isle of Man. Unfortunately, he was too frail to go. He died just a few months before his 100th birthday. He couldn't remember where his grandfather was born. Roland was born Frederick Henry Caley, II. His mother changed his name to Roland Crist Caley, after reading "The Song of Roland", (Crist was her maiden name). This was a huge problem when he applied for his military pension and social security.
I went to the courthouse in Summit Co. and was told F. P. Caley's naturalization papers were destroyed. I did get his final papers, but there is nothing on there to help me with this.
