After reading about convict tattoos on those websites I gave you, which say that letters were usually initials of family members, and were put on by the convict him/herself, I wondered whether the "I" in the middle of "CLAIJL" was really meant to be another "L"? In which case the initials would be CL, AL (Andrew Lynchey?), and JL (James Lynchey?). Was there a sibling CL?
