I tried the NSW search site I gave you and see they have now added the wills index up to at least the 1930s, and it was quick and easy to use. Before adding them to the online search they had the wills indexes on microfiche, and I would expect the other states to have those also. Julie can look up the Vic burials CDs if you remind us of her name and age, plus date of will and any info that the will gave about her.
In my experience solicitors archive info and are reluctant to dig through their old records, and wouldn't hand anything over for govt archives (privacy concerns).
