If you can research yourself or pay a researcher then I suspect looking for the BMD entry in the local paper might help - all on microfilm at manx museum - the marriage certificate (from General registry - see www.gov.im )should give names of parents but cousins need that you check for other children from the same grandparents so you need determine them which is why a BMD in the paper might give some family details (funerals are usually better in this regard as they usually contain more info) - wwwlawsons.ca has index to civil marriages
