Liverpool was regarded as the gateway to the rest of the world. (from Manx/UK perspective)........in this context, one needs to come to grips with the time period one is speaking of and how at the time your family lived and moved through Lpl (to the rest of the world) and as such, all this was perceived.
Genealogy is more than dates and places and stats..... there comes a point when one realises that it is human lives ones is dealing with/taking account of... and in this context, one is challenged with taking into account the whole gammit of human existence ..............physical, emotional, mental and spiritual (which does not necessarily imply religion................)
