Re: help -Henry Clague b c 1836

Where and when was Mary buried, and do you have her death cert to see whether or not she was a widow?

NSW deaths have this entry in 1901:
Registration Number Last Name Given Name(s) Father's Given Name(s) Mother's Given Name(s) District
7778/1901 CLEGG HARRY JAMES SARAH SYDNEY
And this one in 1892:
165/1892 CLEGG HENRY UNKNOWN UNKNOWN SYDNEY
- Which wouldn't be much help so far as his parents are concerned, but would have marriage and children and hopefully how long in Australia. Also where he came from - sometimes with the parish. It is odd that he didn't give these details at his marriage.

If this was their marriage he was married as CLEGG:
298/1866 CLEGG HENRY REYNOLDS MARY A SYDNEY

Also recorded under Clegg for MARY J's birth in 1862, Sydney, and for Martha's in 1865, Forbes (if the same Henry & Mary), and for FREDERICK CLEGG's birth in 1875, Sydney. Another birth registered in Forbes to Henry & Mary was Catherine CLEGG in 1867.

Strangely, Catherine is under both Clegg and Clague in the index:
Registration Number Last Name Given Name(s) Father's Given Name(s) Mother's Given Name(s) District
11958/1867 CLAGUE CATHERINE HENRY MARY FORBES
11958/1867 CLEGG CATHERINE HENRY MARY FORBES
