i thomas cowley of baljean in the parish of lonan farmer being of sound mind memory and understanding do make this my last will and testament in manner following hereby revoking and cancelling all wills heretoforth made by me
First i leave devise and bequeath to my grand daughter catherine isabella cowley(daughter of my son thomas)the sum of five pounds sterling
next i leave devise and bequeath to my son john cowley the sum of five pounds
to my daughter mary ann wife of robert callister i leave devise and bequeath during the term of her natural life that dwelling house garden and premises situate on NORTH
BALL???in the said parish of lonan,now occupied by robert teare corlett but in the event of my said daughter mary ann callister being at any time in straightened circumstances financially i hereby give and grant permission to mortgage and encumber the said dwelling house garden and premises to the extent of fifty pounds sterling and upon the decease of my said daughter mary ann callister the said dwelling house garden and premises shall become the absolute property of her children namely william thomas quine and elizabeth isabella quine each to share alike
next i leave devise and bequeath to my son william cowley the whole of my real estate consisting of the lands and premises of THALLOO KERROON and SCAUERMEN/SCAUBMEN in the parish of lonan together with the intack belonging thereto situate in the parish of ONCHAN?
also the whole of the lands and premises of cronkmoar in the said parish of lonan(including the acre bought from mat cowley)
i also leave devise and bequeath to my said son william cowley the whole of the residue of my personal estateof whatever nature or description as his own absolutely
