Margery,
I've been reading the msgs about R. Corrin because I have an ancestor, listed below.
Richard 30-Nov 1794 Malew Parents: Wm Corrin and Christian Kermode Died 1824, aged 33
He was a Joiner, like your ancestor, and married Christian Schofield. His son, James, who established a Painting and Glazing Business in Malew Street, was my gt. gt. gr'father.
I've made a list of others with the name Richard in an attempt to sort them out and have these as possible candidates for your ancestor, with their parents noted.
Richard 23-Feb 1801 Malew
Thos. Corrin and Margaret Cowell
Richard 19-Mar 1802 Arbory
Rich'd Costain and Eleanor Corrin
Richard 30-Sep 1804 St.Marks
John Corrin and Margaret Cooil
Any of these could have been noted as 40 in 1841. I'm pretty certain I have the right Richard, but I may be wrong... I'm sure all these Corrins must have been connected if we go bacl far enough! I'm working on my Prestons, but one day will go back to the Corrins in the 18th Cent to see what I can make of them!
Best wishes, Jo
