The IGI has a marriage of John Parfitt to Margaret Jane Skelly in German on Aug 23 1866.
There is also a George Henry Parfite christened on March 29 1873 at St Thomas Douglas, the son of John Parfite and Margaret Skelly.

Martha was in Douglas in the 1871 census age 25 as a Domestic servant at Riverside Cottage.

In 1861, (McQuiggin) she is 17 in Douglas working in a boarding House on Clarence Terrace in Douglas
Here her place of birth is given as Douglas

It seems likele that Joseph and John are the same person, but I could not trace John or Joesph in any other census.
