Alfred died 1879. A second Alf born in 1883 and lived till 1965. I'm doing a lot of research right now. You're quite right - Moores are all around the Port Erin, Port St Mary, Ballafesson, Ballachurry, Fleshwick etc.
Incidentally, Herbert married (2) Florence Elizabeth Fargher (sic) of Onchan. No relation I take it because of spelling.
