I can perhaps help a bit here. I have no direct connection up to that Robert Moore but to a prior Robert Moore (early 17C).
James was a fisherman and also married a Jane, having 3 children according to the 1861 census.
Did your uncle do his apprenticeship around 1946 and was he a joiner? If so , there may well be a family link with his employer.
