I just checked www.ourroots.ca to see if George Delaney is mentioned in the books they have scanned. There is a book called Readymade and District, found on:

in which George Delaney's name is mentioned twice as being a farmer at Lethbridge.

Maybe this isn't your George, but you can take a look anyway.
