Re: Christian search
In Response To: Christian search ()

In the 1881 census they were living at Beckwith Vein Rd. (Ballacocher No. 1), Census Place Patrick, with children Joseph aged 19 Miner in Lead, Ephraim 13 Miner in Lead, Arthur 11 Scholar, Frederick 5 Scholar, and James 3 Scholar, all born Patrick.

The IGI has two Thomas Christians b. Patrick in 1838 (see Familysearch.org). He was possibly bapt 22 April 1838 Patrick son of Thomas Christian and Eliz CORRIS. This date was just after the census was taken which would make him accurately aged 42 (not quite 43) in 1881, and 52 in 1891 as Diane wrote.

- But census ages are not always accurate so Thomas could be the other one b.1838.

Eleanor appears to have been bapt Ellen KEY on 30 June 1844 Patrick, daur of Thomas KEY & Ann SHIMMIN [see IGI].

You need to check their marriage entry to make sure these are the right bapts for them.
