all transfers of property post 1704 have to have been recorded in the Rolls Office (now part of Registry) - the indices to these are the North & South Side Sales - you can gain some idea of what these deeds contain by looking under Peel then Property in ManxNoteBook.
The NSS + SSS indices are mormon microfilm (very badly being too dark to read in many places) but the actual deeds are real paper not microfilm when you gain access to them at MNH.
There are some earlier deeds/transfers (eg I've seen some dating back to 1680's but there are probably some earlier) - the various Manorial rolls (+the changes noted in Lib Vast) may also give names of owners and sometimes of wives if a man married into property
