Dear Sue,

I have found this forum an amazing and giving group of people who go to enormous amount of trouble to help not only find information for you, but give willingly information that has taken them years to research.

They are a patient group of people who understand that we do not all know the 'language' of family history and go to great lengths to explain and help.

It is amazing to look each day and see the same people, such as yourself, Mary, Frances, Donna, Brian and Liz give their help and not only look for information but actually go off to such places as the museum or graveyards to physically look.

It can be expensive not only buying the software, certificates, books, cd's, and sometimes paying researchers. Yet I know that in small ways I have already been able to offer some of my information to some people and I hope that in the future I will be able to offer a lot more.

The great thing about my research is finding 'family members' throughout the world. They have offered photos and in a number of cases have printed out their whole family trees for me, which blew me away with their generosity and humbled me.

Through this sharing I have been able to find out amazing 'family' stories that are not found in looking through certificates or wills. They are the stories handed down through family members and sometimes people who knew the family.

Thankyou everyone!

Warm regards

Diane
