You need a website for your walks and photos...
My dad's family worked at various farms around Bride so there was no "family home". I suppose the farm cottages they then lived in are gone as with all the automation these days they need few resident farm labourers. I did find a web photo of Bride at http://www.manxarch.iofm.net/Bride.jpg that makes Bride look quite idyllic and lushly green.
One aspect of life 150 years back is that there were just a handful of Christian names seemingly available for naming. So even with Sayle as an unusual surname, which it wasn't for this area, many had the same few Christians names. So for me to ascertain family, I guess I'd need dates and perhaps adjacency in churchyards.
Thank you for your offer of photos though... Not sure if I have any "cousins" in the area. I wonder if IOM'ers get annoyed with people knocking on their doors asking, "I wonder if I'm related to you.?"
Hey: Daniel Sayle, the TT racer!!! Daniel is one of our family's names so I wonder if... nah. :)
