It is very kind of you to go to so much trouble for me. My grandfather was married on 17 Apr 1897, his age is given as 26, a roller maker and his father is given as William Cowell, deceased, a brewer, Louis died 18 Feb 1965 age 94. Both certificates give his name as Louis Henry Cowell. William Cowells wife's maiden name was Elizabeth Place. My mother told me that her fathers mother was a maidservant in the employ of a wealthy family and the son of the house got her pregnant
