Judith/Joney same name.

This Andreas/Bride Radcliffe family, known as "Dalk", is very interesting (and extremely complicated!) in its connections to TEARE.

William bapt 23 Nov.1746, married at aged 15/16 Jony TEARE (aged 29) daur of Eleanor Teare the widow of Daniel, the same day that his widower father William Radcliffe married Joney’s mother Eleanor. “William Radcliffe junr & Joney Tear both of this parish married by Lic with consent of sd Wm Radcliffe’s father, 24 July 1762” Andreas.

Daniel TEAR & Elinor TEAR married Andreas 13 Aug 1732.

Dan TEAR bapt 17 Mar 1706 son of John TEAR, Andreas.
Daniel's father "John Tear (Harry)" died 26 August 1727 (his decree named son Daniel and daughter Alice).

Daniel's wife Ellin TEAR was bapt. 2 March 1706 daur of Daniel TEAR, Andreas. She is in father Daniel's 1718 will, underage. Her two elder sisters Jony and Alice were in Andreas Confirmations in 1718 as daurs of Dan: Tear, Smeal.

Children of Elinor (Ellin) Tear and Daniel Tear, who married 1732. Andreas baptisms:
Joney b. 30 Nov. 1733 marr. 24 July 1762 William RADCLIFFE
John b. 19 Oct 1736; bur. 1 Feb 1741
Eleanor b. 6 Nov 1739. Elinr infant daughr of Dan: Tear bur. Nov.8 [1739]
Nelly b. 10 March 1741 marr. Richard CHRISTIAN 31 Jan 1761 Andreas with consent of parents.
Margaret b. 3 June 1742; bur. 5 June 1742
Margaret b. 25 Oct 1744; marr. 27 Feb 1768 Ewan Kinry
Catherine (Harrey) b. 19 Aug 1750

Daniel Teare was buried 4 Apr 1758 (Harry). The nickname "Harry/Hairy" is assumed to come from 'ny arrey'.
Ian Radcliffe wrote "the pronunciation of ny is a bit like 'nh' which is Manx for watch or lookout. This I would suspect to be somewhere on the coast, bearing in mind a lookout post was built at Rue point during WW2, it points to the Smeale area. My initial thought was the word was a corruption of 'ny ayre' (the ayres) as in 'bayr ny ayre' (road to the ayres)". Both these areas are near Smeale.

Daniel's 1758 will is particularly interesting in that it mentions a parcel of land in Lezayre called Cottier's Close which he left to his daughter Ellinor who married Richard CHRISTIAN, which she in turn left to her daughter Ann Christian b.1776 who married John Radcliffe, Belfast.
