Re: Ballavale Kissacks
In Response To: Re: Ballavale Kissacks ()

I am William Kissacks Great great granddaughter! My great grandmother was his daughter Elizabeth. She lived to the ripe age of 85 and is buried in Queens NY. She married my great grandfather Robert George Swanton on July 1, 1890 in Manhattan. They had five children and his only son was Robert G. who was born June 6, 1901. His sisters were Mona, Anne, Mable, and Gertrude Rose.
Robert married Helen McErlain and they had three sons, Robert 1930-1964, Richard 1936-1989, and my father Cornelius 1937-. I have a brother Cornelius Jr. so he carry's on the line.
I have one question, where and when would Elizabeth have immagrated from? The family story is that she was supposed to board a ship for Australia and got on the wrong boat in 1888 and arrived when New York had a huge blizzard.
Thank you all for your help.
