Re: CORKILL's in Lezayre Parish, 1800's

Hi Bruce. I haven't researched in about 6 months, and it looks like I haven't visited this Board since last June ! So, I'm just finding your response !

Thank you very much for this information. I just printed it out so I can have it handy.

An FYI is that I heard from a lady last fall who thinks she is descended from this daughter, Margaret. And, about the same time, I heard from a lady in Canada who is descended from one of the oldest sons of Evan and Elizabeth (QUAYLE) CORKILL. In fact, I owe her an e-mail and will ask if she knows about this Board. (I found out the other oldest son died as a child.)

Another thought is that I though Evan's father, John, might have moved to Liverpool, as there are a few John CORKILL's in Liverpool during 1800's, but you say that he died in 1841.

I'm curious whether John (father) had siblings in the Lezayre Parish, and I continue to be interested in the maiden name of Esther (mother).

Have a good day.

Betty (near Lowell, MA, USA)

P.S. Does anyone know if there is an "alert e-mail" which tells us if someone has responded to our query?
