Hello again Joe,
Good news, in that your CORKILL family is finally worked out - at least for a few generations. Thanks to Carol Gosselin who looked up the Ramsey marriages to get the fathers' names, and to her and Brian Lawson for census transcripts.
This family were cousins of the ones you started off with on this list.
The Ramsey marriage:
29 June 1861: Thomas Corkill, age 21, Bach, farm lab, Ballacregan, [father] Christopher Corkill, lab.,
and
Margaret Kinrade, age 22, Sp., Agneisty, [father] Thomas Kinrade, lab., Lonan.
Thomas Corkill's father Christopher was the youngest son of John Corkill & Jane Skillicorn bapt. Maughold 21 Dec 1787. Married Maughold 31 May 1835: Christopher Corkill & Isabella KERMEEN.
Isabel was the daur of William Kirmeen & Margaret Davies bapt Maughold 8 Mar 1812. Her father William 1768-1835 was from a long line of William Kermeens, the eldest sons and heirs of the Corony, Maughold. William's father William bought part of the Dhoon, Maughold, in 1774 and two years later sold his share of the Corony in three parts to John Corkill of Ballagorry Mooar - the family who daughter Isabel married into. This Kermeen family were entered in land records as owners of half of the Corony quarterland from at least 1631.
There used to be a long descent written on this message board showing this Kermeen family, by Tom Kermen from USA, a descendant of the Williams, but unfortunately everything before 2000 seems to have vanished (as has Tom).

I have an early connection to both these families - Corkill of Ballagorry Mooar, and Kermeen of the Corony. If you can give me an email address I can send you the siblings etc., if of interest.
