I suspect that John Cribbin was christened in Liverpool because that is where his parents were from, although he may have been born in the Isle of Man.
The 1871 census gives Rushen as the parish of his birth.
In the 1841 census of Rushen there is a William Crebbin and wife Margaret. He is 56 and a weaver. However she is probably Margaret Comish, whom he married in March 1841. This William was previously married to Eleanor Taylor (1819), with whom he had five children, inclding a John in 1825.

There is a death register for a Margaret Crebbin in Liverpool in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1841 vol 20 page 356. If this is your John's mother, it may shed some light on a next of kin.
