I have a Bookplate comprising a very elaborate and perfectly engraved coat-of-arms.
motto is - in latin "sua dextra cuique" with the name William Edward Oates and the date 1897. I am a bookbinder and I removed it from a book that I rebound for a dealer who did not want it back in the book.
I am in Australia but no doubt the book has travelled so it is probably not significant.
