I am still trying to pin down the murky history of my great grandfather and would appreciate a little help in locating an address from the 1881 census.

John Christian is living with wife Elizabeth (perhaps nee Clague?) and a potentially significant William at Cross Vein Road (Caryngreai No 2). Patrick IOM

Presuming this to be to do with the Foxdale mines, I think that I have a road crossing the Cross Vein mine on my map, heading towards Patrick from Foxdale. It crosses an area marked Carnagrie which pushes coincidence but can anyone with more precise knowledge help me pin down Caryngreai No 2 please and perhaps offer a little insight into the house(ing).

I would be very grateful and of course I am willing to share what I have on Christian and Clague lines, althought there is little as yet, pre 1860s
